"Melanie Miller looked after our two cats, Cleo and Olive, when we went to Europe for a month. We were extremely troubled to be leaving the two girls home alone, and it played on our minds a lot as we flew away on our vacation.
We needn’t have worried one bit; Melanie’s obvious love of our furry friends came through loud and clear, putting our minds at rest from day one. She actually went out and bought a great feather toy, which she used to keep Cleo occupied during her visits, and even managed to coax the very shy Olive out from under our bed by the end of the first week. Miraculous!
Melanie kept us informed of developments via email throughout the trip, displaying excellent patience in the face of our concern (guilt, really), and by the end of the voyage my wife was actually becoming jealous of Melanie, as the cats were obviously having a ball with their surrogate mom in our absence. Melanie’s several digital photos, which we viewed ecstatically in various internet cafes in Britain and the continent, were a testament to the five-star treatment our girls were receiving, and by the second week we were enjoying our trip without a worry.
I would use Melanie again without hesitation next time we travel. She kept an accurate ledger of all her visits, the litter-box was tidy, and the cats were well-fed and appeared utterly untroubled at our absence. I hope she enjoys the big box of English tea we brought her back as much as we enjoyed having her as a pet-sitter. Thanks Melanie for a job well done."
